C.E.M.S.
National Pre-Hospital & Battlefield Trauma Conference
4th April 2020
9.00-17:00 Cambridge
Cambridge Emergency Medicine Society (CEMS) is thrilled to announce the latest iteration of the annual CEMS Prehospital and Battlefield Trauma Conference!
Run in association with personnel from 254 Medical Regiment (a specialist prehospital trauma care unit within the Royal Army Medical Corps, based in Cambridge) and clinicians from East Anglia's Major Trauma Centre and Air Ambulance organisations, this event is set to be an action-packed day. You will have the opportunity to learn clinical skills that are vital in both civilian and battlefield trauma environments, and then use these new-found skills in specially designed scenarios.
The day is themed around the 'cAcBCDE' primary survey approach to the initial management of major trauma patients, and will teach skills including creating a surgical airway, decompression of a tension pneumothorax and identification and suppression of catastrophic haemorrhage. There will be five skill stations and five high fidelity scenarios through the day.
Tickets cost £20 and will be available on the Facebook event from 3pm on Friday 28th February. Please note that tickets historically sell out in just a few minutes, so make sure you're quick on the button - this is truly an event not to miss!
The event can be found at: https://www.facebook.com/events/2864417826950842/
In association with Magpas Helimedix Air Ambulance charity and the 254th Medical Regiment
Sponsored by MDU, MPS and Wesleyan
